Wendy's Kept Callin My Name

and I answered with "I'll take one chicken nuggets and a Fry" and now I am mad at myself. I really do want to eat healthy and I wish the unhealthy did not taste so good. Disappointment.

Don't feel bad about eating at Wendy's. Wendy's serves up delicious food. You've fallen prey to the food Nazis out there who tell us that the only food we can enjoy is that which is bland and not tasty--the healthy stuff. There are people who eat "perfectly" and still die every day. Even if you do everything right, air will still kill you in the end. So, I say enjoy the Wendy's chicken nuggets and fries. The key, though, is moderation. Don't do like your ol' cousin Joey and get that Wendy's triple stack, plain, with cheese, with Biggie size fries and a Coke. That's not moderation; that's gluttony. Gluttony is something about which one can feel bad, but one shouldn't feel bad about the occasional enjoyment of fast food.

No really........DO NOT feel bad. I took a pack of nabs (thanks grandmother), a bag of chips, and a nutragrain bar to work Friday for my lunch. How unhealthy is that?? But it's okay, right? ;)

If only the real Nazis were only concerned about what foods people eat, the world might be a different place. Sigh.

Your papaw has it figured out, Ashley... according to the diet the doctors want him to follow... he cannot have anything he likes... he can have only a little bit of anything he hates... and he can eat all he wants of stuff that makes him gag and want to throw up...
Which makes me wonder... where were the food nazis when your great grandma lived her whole life cooking and eating good old southern cooking? She's 105 years old now... and STILL HERE...
On that bright note, I think I'll stop off after work and have a Philly cheese steak sandwich...
