Have you seen the ghost of John
That was my favorite halloween song that we used to sing in elementary school--so sppppoooookkkky. I have always liked Halloween. Growing up, we never actually went trick-or-treating (with the exception of a few times). We always went to the Fall Festival at my church. There would be games you would find at the fair, dart throws, toss the penny in the fish bowl, spinning wheel, you know, those sort of things. But then there was.....THE MAZE. This was by far the best thrill of the night. The line was the longest for this one. The teenagers of the church would construct a maze out of cardboard boxes that would take up the whole church basement. They would hide in the dead ends waiting to scare you when you got to that point. You would fill something squishy in your fingernails, WWOOORRRRMMMMSSSS (otherwise known as spagetti noodles), you would feel icy cold fingers on your arms (otherwise known as icecubes)....it was the best. I looked forward to it every year. More than that, I would look forward to when I was going to be a teenager so I could be the cool ones that make the maze and scare the little kiddies. Anyway, for my spooky tales, go here to hear about some pretty scary places in N.O. Some of it is pretty gruesome though, so beware!
