Did you Miss Me?
So, after a really long break from Blogdom, I am back. Things have been going very good lately. I have been busily happy these days. I just got done with my second class AND my second A in school. I have a cumulative of a 4.0 right now. I am pretty excited about that. At work, things are going okay. I do enjoy my job somewhat, but I also realize that it is not for me. And the thing is, I am not sure what exactly IS for me. I want to do something that matters. I guess everyone says that. What I mean by that, is I want to do something that is directly related to the place I work for. In my current job, I work as support for this whole company. Most of the many people that work in the building don't have anything to do with what the company was created to do. There are the Information Management team (tech support), the Human Resource Office, the Security Office, the Public Affairs Office, the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, Finance Office...and the list goes on. Then there is there are two offices that do the actual work that pertains to my company. The Engineering office that comes up with the ideas and the Operations Office that does them. There is about at 80/20 ration, 80 being the support. Which I guess is really great because it provides a lot of jobs for people. But I think I either want to own a business or work for one in which I am given the opportunity to DO something. I am being boring I think. But this is what is on my mind tonight.
Here are my top jobs, no limits.
1. Work for the Travel Channel and take adventure trips around the world and tape them for the channel.
2. Book Editor
3. Bakery owner
4. Bookstore owner (a hip one)
5. Broadway actress (that gets the good parts in plays, of course)
6. ballerina
I could go on. What is your ultimate job, no holds bar. (is that a correct phrase?)
