the draft

I know I am several days late posting on this, but what's all this talk on the draft? Honestly, I never thought it would be an issue after Vietnam because America changed after Vietnam. But its' scary that people are whispering about it again. Surely not though.

Googlie gracious

How come I can never come up with clever titles?

Anyway, this
proves two things:
One. Anyone can be successfull.
Two. A company can be both creative and successful at the same time. So few businesses out there like to stray from the norm and that is just, well, stifling.
I would like to work for Google.
Ingenious.

Closet gangsta

So my friend and I were rounding the corner at the convenient store talking about music. I mention that I secretly like gangsta rap and then I say, “I guess I am a closet freak” just as we round the corner, looking right in the face of the guy on the payphone. He thought that was funny. I did not. Well, I did too, really.

Its only appropriate

to remember all the victims, living and dead of the Chernobyl Tragedy. It happened on this day, Apr. 26, 1986, 18 years ago. What a sad sad thing.

Read more about the nuclear explosion here- its effects are still evident even today. Here is a site of a woman who rode her motorcycle through the deserted town, taking pictures and telling the story from a real person's point of view, not from the stories given to the media from the government. The pictures she took truly tell the story.

The day I learned I was not cool

And all this time, I thought the fact that as a young girl I loved Jefferson Starship’s We Built This City was a major cool factor for me. Seriously.
Check it.

Blast those...

I finally have a few minutes to write and now I have writer's block. I could not even think of anything to curse in my title, so I had to make an incomplete curse.
Things have been so busy around the Mason residence the past few weeks. I just finished an essay titled "My Strengths and Weaknesses as Related to Academic or Career Achievement." That was the required title. No room for creative genious. (and as you can tell, I have no room for it anyway tonight.) It is for my Life Management course I have to take. It is only a two week course designed to inspire students to do well in school. Home has been busy as well- still settling in. I wonder how long I will be able to use that before it becomes a redundant excuse. I plan on riding on it for a while. That's okay though.
Easter was nice. It rained, but it was one of those good rains when it felt okay to get in your pajamas early afternoon and lounge, no guilt attached. So when we finished with family festivities, that is exactly what Eric and I did, and it WAS nice.
Do you know that I still have not done my taxes? I really need to do those.
I know I have writer's block when I am talking about my taxes instead of talking about the things I can only think and dream of. Sometimes there are not words, I suppose. Because I have had a lot on my mind lately, but everything seems to be poetic and beautiful only in my mind, so writing about it seems senseless. My thoughts would seem a little less than perfect if I attempted to put words to them.
Well, iamramblingnow.....
